Hello all... Congratulations Sandhya Aunty getting a job so tailor made for you is incredible and I really wish you all the best in it.

This was a lovely weekend... I bought some stuff which I really longed for a long time.... I bought a Cannon A610 Digital Camera and a Washburn Electric Guitar....

I was having some experience with guitars and finally bought one.... I also have enrolled here in the community for classes and also have free online and video tutorials (free with the gutar) and am catching up (its just been 2 days so far anyway) .... Atleast i have something constructive to do after office except watch TV...

Anyway now since my digi cam is coming soon (1-2 days) i'll keep sending more pictures from here.....

from the 1st of april, i join the working class again - for five days a week, for three hours a day + some hours from home - with the ngo i was going to already. i'm very excited about it all, and the salary is very very decent, specially for someone who's been off paid work for sooooo long! wish me luck, family!

A very very happy B'lated Birthday to Ravi Uncle....

I was very busy in the past week and finally have got some time. Well I got a cell number for myself here which is: +1-626-429-4247 for your refernce.
Finally the whether here has cleared up and its spring! Seriously California Spring is a great time to be here. Right next to us are the local mountains which were covered in snow till today and its slowly started to melt, and on the other side there is the clear blue Pacific. Its a great scene to see.
However I do miss india a lot and especially the people. Here socializing is an absolute nightmare more so when you have so little time except work. The weekends are spent in doing the Laundry and household chores and things have started to become really monotonous here. Weeks just zap past and its already more that a month since I was here. Anyway I hope things will get better and brighter and I just need a little more patience and time. (No Wonder that most of the people here socialize online via chat rooms etc... Its really strange..)

just back from seeing an absolutely senseless, silly slapstick movie which had ravi, kanishk and me rolling in our seats at some points. really good way to leave all kinds of stress behind and just have a hearty laugh. am amazed at some of the things i found funny, but still, definitely worth a viewing once.

ravi's birthday was celebrated with dinner with friends, and continental dinner cooked by both of us. this is to inform all interested parties that i am now the resident quiche expert - kanishk has declared that to make something for the first time, and make it so well is amazing!!! ravi is older, wiser and even quieter so you can imagine how much conversation that means we have :-)

Happy Holi to everybody. Sorry for the delay but please keep in mind the time difference too... :-)

Anyway I didnt have any holi here and was buried in work.There were some Holi parties over the weekend (as we dont have a leave here) but then the wheather was too bad to go anywhere. So all in all it was very pale. Anyway the good news is that I'm getting a iPod Video(30 GB) from Office as our company became a billion $ company this year. Yeahh and also apart from that some of the collegues and myself here have planned to go to Barbados and Antigua to see some of the matches of the Cricket world cup next year !! Hope that goes on fine....

a happy holi to all

by now, i've given up on anyone but piyu, preeti and me writing on a regular basis so will continue with the blogging. had a very nice holi in cal - dry and colourful for me, extremely colourful and not dry for ravi and kanishk. am waiting for this term to get over for kanishk so that we can take off to chennai and bangalore. shall upload some deadly snaps of manya with ravi. hey jeet, will you be in chennai around poila baisakh? we can have a nice gathering there over the weekend - do plan it.

Hey ..

It been a long time for me too that i watched a good movie. Here we went for a movie day last week to see FIREWALL (Harrison Ford) from Office. Please dont watch it !!! Its probably a bollywood masala movie which was mistakenly made here !!! Well I guess the new movie Pink Panther is pretty cool I havent seen it yet but i've seen great reviews for it...

I also went to Hollywood on Saturday its about 30 mins from my place (will upload the pics in a day or 2). Its a great place but now that i'm here this all seems so trivial... I agree that when I was in India it looked to be such a big deal Hollywood and stuff but when you are actually there it seems so mediocre .. well atleast thats what i felt....

PS: I just got my first pay stub here today .. Yippee
