A brief update

am keeping up with my promise of posting to this blog regularly. shashank has finally come back to a place that can be reached by phone - he had an interesting return to leh from tsokar, sitting pillion on a rucksack tied to the back of a motorbike for 150 kms, coming down winding roads from 16000 ft to 5000 ft. do not even want to begin thinking of hwo back-breaking that must have been. but i really really envy him!! i wish i had such experiences at 22, i wish i had such experiences now :-)
will wait for one of you to write.

am very impressed by the enthusiasm shown by you all for revival of this blog. will see how long it lasts :-) unfortunately all the pics we took at this mega get-tog in may are dark and unusable. will wait for the patriarch of the sarkar family to send me some pics - thank goodness one of us is trigger-happy!! all well here - shashank is in Tsokar, happily camping away with no contact possible. kanishk is studying away - school reopened after the summer hols yesterday. for those interested - he did have a haircut! am posting a before-after set of pics of him.

Hello everyone, and soooo sorry for not contributing to this blog earlier. But I must admit, I used to take a peek from time-to-time to see whats up with everyone :) Thanks Sandhya auntie for reviving this. Will try to contribute periodically from now on. Me, still working at Broadcom, San Diego - the job is interesting enough to keep me engaged for now. Waiting for my greencard. Lets's see. Kartick is doing fine too. He recently gave his CFA (certified financial accountancy) exams which went well. He was supposed to come down this weekend to San Diego but got stuck at work. Oh well, ... next time. Whats up with everyone else? It was really good to call and talk to the family during the recent mega-gettogether. Everyone seems to have had a blast - missed being there. Auntie, do put up some pictures. Keep blogging.

Am so glad we are reviving this blog!!!!!!!! Mami can we have few pics from the recent Kolkata get together on the blog please? I was so jealous when I heard Piyu landed in Kolkata to meet everybody. MAybe after Archie comes down, all of you could come down:-)

If Shashank has internet access, we would love to hear about his experience in LAdakh. And the other members please do drop in a line or two now and then.

hi all! we're back - till someone else in this family contributes, i am using the royal 'we' for myself alone. since blogging seems to be becoming a fad with even bollywood, i thought we should not let go of a good thing. moreover, the recent get-together in kolkata with all members of one generation and 3 of the next (of one side of the family) has shown that we have a wonderful family and need to keep updated on each other's lives often.
