Hello from Calcutta

hello everybody! am very impressed that even jeet has blogged! considering he's the one who predicted the death of this blog, i really am pleased. couldn't blog earlier as for some weird reason, my user name -pwd combination was not going through. better luck today so here i am.

in cal, we're awaiting the arrival of my dad from delhi on the 13th. he'll be here for kanishk's birthday. preeti is our next visitor for only 2 days (i think). shashank should be here after completing his fifth semester, on 21st followed by krishna who arrives on 26th. my dad departs on 27th, and by then gowri, sekar, kalyani, preeti and all others who can make it here for atleast two days should arrive for a good-sized family gathering. krishna will not be with us for the new year, i think as he may have other plans. would love to know what the rest of the family is planning, so.....

Hello Everybody,

Its been a long time since I posted here. So here are the updates from my side. Work is going on as usual, since the holiday season here has begun the work load is really minimal. The weather has become excellent. I went to San Fransisco sometime back and had a great time there, it was nice seeing the Golden Gate and Alcatraz in real life. Haloween was real fun, though we didnt dress up or anything but seeing all these people going crazy over dressing up and decking their homes up was a real experience. Everywhere you go you'd find people dressed up.. my apartment manager got dressed up as the Captain Barbosa (of the Pirates of the Carribean genre) and it was great to be there in his halloween party for the tenants. I guess I am lucky to have very nice neighbours (most of them my collegues from office actually) where everyone looks out for each other. I just shifted apartments (in the same complex though). We are now starting to have a series of long weekends beginning with Vetrans day on Friday. So Will be moving around a lot. Places like the Grand Canyon , Las Vegas (this weekend!), Disneyland, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, Big Bear Mountain etc etc (all withing 200 miles of LA ain't that cool). So will really be roaming around a lot. Will post lots of pictures then too.
